Contest, Life, Projects and Feature Update

Like the new skin?

Just a reminder - there is ONE week left before my Autumn Contest closes! No entries so far, but I've heard from plenty of people that they have entries in the works...I'm mellow about the whole thing and I'm okay if it flops, lol but I'm going to stick to this deadline, and I would like to get the chance to judge these entries you're working on. PLEASE get them in by the Saturday, November 28 deadline!

As far as LIFE goes...well, oh boy! Between being sick and out of school for three weeks and having my MARINE BROTHER<3 home on leave before his first deployment, and my birthday, I've been very very busy! He and his wife's 12 days here were TONS of fun, even if I had to squeeze in as much schoolwork as possible between all that. My other brother Todd flew in to see him and us, and I got to finally meet his fiancee and their 5-month-old baby Mason! GOSH that baby is so cute X3 An incredibly happy, contented, and well-cared-for baby.

This past week and a half since Jared left, other than my birthday, has been CHOCK-FULL of make up work, with the occasional break for art and writing to keep me sane. I worked hard, though, to keep my birthday free of school work! I spent the whole day just chillaxing, working on CallistoHime's birthday present, and watching Disney movies with my family. Despite my mediocre feelings towards it in childhood, "Cinderella" is firmly establishing itself as one of my very favorite Disney movies. It hits my heart every time!

MEANWHILE - after a day of go-go-go-go-go school work, I gave myself a break and went to see NEW MOON at the midnight release! I've sworn off the books due to frustration and...well X_x I'm just unhappy with the way plot and characters etc were handled, though I still have had residual love for the world and characters that I couldn't quite reconcile. To ME, the movie (New Moon even more than Twilight) "corrected" the things that rubbed me wrong in the book! I HOPE somehow the movies will be able to salvage awesomeness from Eclipse and Breaking Dawn...I think any director with sense will know that some things just can't go the way they did in that final book. But EEEEEE, for the first time in a long time, I love the characters again, thanks to this NEW MOON movie! Even the inner critic/skeptic who never could quite get all the way into the books or first movie approves

AtA fans! Last night I finally had the time to go through edits for CallistoHime's completed chapter 69 - the first round of edits on my side are COMPLETED! Be excited. This chapter is obviously a change of pace >.> but awesome. >=3
